Bots Have Feelings Too

“Charming and cute as they are, the capabilities and intelligence of ‘emotional’ robots are still very limited. They don’t have feelings and are simply programmed to detect emotions and respond accordingly. But things are set to change very rapidly. …To feel emotion, you need to be conscious and self-aware.” (Hewlett, 2019)

Smallish post 8 -bulleted list

On Monday bought, downloaded, and played Elden Ring.

On Tuesday I filled out my homework planner, budgeted out my time for the week, and then played Elden Ring.

On Wednesday I sat down to tackle my homework for the day, finished about half a math question, and then played Elden Ring.

On Thursday I revised my planner, distinctly chose NOT to play Elden Ring, and then played Elden Ring.

On Friday I played Elden Ring to get it out of my system, sat down with my notes, twice-revised planner, and all the self-control I could muster to finally tackle all of my homework for the week… and then played Elden Ring.

 1. I know that feeling, I wish it was easy to hold restraint from playing a favorite series, but it is harder than I would like.

 1. That’s definitely the feeling whenever getting a new book, game, or show. I relate to this.
